The AANR World Record Skinny-Dip was a great success, with almost 140 locations hosting the event to see how many people could simultaneously skinny-dip across North America and earn a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. As of today, the count stands at 12,143, and the counts are still coming in.

We had a wonderful time participating in this event. Lake Como had a total of 405 skinny dippers. Way to go. I look forward to beating our own record next year.
There were 161 in the pool at Whire Thorn Lodge in western PA. All were given certificates as proof of attendance. And some photos were also taken. Great day.
When my soon-to-be wife Tina suggested the idea of attending in Ivor,VA at White Tail resort we really didn’t know what to expect. The skinny-dip with 330 in the huge pool at the resort was an experience we’ll never forget! The friendly people and family atmosphere has us planning another trip back soon, though we live almost 4 hours drive away in High Point,NC. I’d still like to know the final count that Guinness came up with..

Thanks to Randy Savage for personally getting involved so that the lake-swimmers at Hippie Hollow, Texas’s only officially clothing-optional park, could be counted. A lot of regulars didn’t get in the lake (either because it was low or they enjoy being nude without swimming), but we officially had 103! My friend and I stayed nine hours and loved every minute of it!!!! I can hardly wait until next year!!
By the way, the official total count sent to Guiness on August 20 was 13,648! What do you say we go for at least 20,000 on July 10, 2010? (I bet we have at least 300 at Hippie Hollow.) I will definitely be there!!
